Membership

The Mess was founded in 1909 by Senior Non-commissioned Officers of Maindy Barracks as a place where they could meet and socialise. The club has slowly developed as a private members club in Wharton Street, Cardiff. Whilst we maintain mess traditions and ethos, membership is no longer confined to the military and retired military. We welcome like-minded people from all walks of life.

The membership year begins on January 1st, and the current annual fees for those living in and around Cardiff is £120. You can opt to pay a one-off fee of £120, or pay by a monthly bank transfer of £12 from January to October. For those living 25 miles or more from Cardiff the one-off fee is £110 or a monthly payment of £11.”
