Visit to HMS Victory 06/04/2024 (Copy)

Members of the Mess were privileged to be invited to an evening of dining onboard HMS Victory at the Historical Dockyard, Portsmouth on Saturday 6th April 2024. It was without doubt a once in a lifetime experience which very few get the opportunity to do. We were met at the ship by Colour Sgt Steve ‘Rasher’ Bacon who kindly gave us a private and very informative tour around the Royal Navy’s Flagship. We were then mustered in the Senior Rates Mess for a fantastic three course meal, wine and port. ‘Rasher’ gave a speech detailing the history of the ship which was not only informative but very funny. The evening was finished off with a good old jolly sing song. A big thank you to member, Les Macgregor for organising what was without doubt one of the most memorable evenings in the Mess history.
