Falklands Dinner 26/04/2024

On Friday 26 April the mess held a Falklands commemorative dinner to honour those who took part in the war to liberate the Falkland Islands and for those who gave their lives. The principal guest and speaker was Colonel Phil Hubbard OBE RAMC (Rtd) who delivered a very personal account of his experience as a Staff Sergeant in the Falklands. It was certainly one of those speeches that all present realised they were privileged to have listened to, learning about very personal events that Colonel Hubbard experienced at first hand.

The mess plans to hold another Falklands dinner next year where we hope to be joined by as many Falklands veterans as possible.
